Dennis Erb Takes Checkers at Kamp; Granite City and East Moline Up Next!
2009-04-20(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team captured their second victory of
the young 2009 racing season last Saturday night, April 11 at the Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell,
Indiana! The Northern Allstars Late Model Series (NALMS) and American Late Model Series (ALMS)
co–sanctioned the $2,000 to win event, which drew a very healthy car count. Dennis Erb paced
his group during qualifying at the northern Indiana venue and later won his competitive heat race.
After starting the A–Main from the outside of the front row, Dennis drove his Thomason Express
/ McBride Mack Truck Sales / Petersen Aluminum / PRC Racing / Petroff Towing #28 C.J. Rayburn / Rhyne
entry to a convincing $2,000 triumph over Daren Friedman, Guy Volk, Frank Heckenast, Jr., and Tyler
Boggs. You can view complete results online at www.dirtondirt.com.
"It feels good to get back into victory lane," quoted Erb from his race shop earlier this week. "We
have had some bad luck here and there early this season, so it was good to put an entire night
together and win the race. The track (at Kamp) got a little rough in the feature, but the car
performed well and we were able to lead flag–to–flag. Hopefully, this will start us on a
little roll heading into Granite City and East Moline this weekend!"
The #28 team has a pair of Dirt Late Model events on their radar this upcoming weekend. They plan to
tackle the Tri–City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois tonight, April 17 for the $10,000 to win
'Frostbuster 50.' Following a scheduled off–night on Saturday, the team will travel north to
the Quad City Raceway in East Moline, Illinois on Sunday, April 19. The World Dirt Racing League
(WDRL) Series will sanction a $5,000 to win show on Sunday at East Moline. You can view additional
information on these two races by accessing www.tricityspeedway.net and www.worldraceleague.com.
